Mammoth Museum - The Hayden Cabin

The Hayden Cabin is a 1927 Log Cabin that has been turned into a Museum. It was one of the earliest accommodations in the area.

The lodging was in the form of a Bed and Breakfast. The main purpose of this summer cabin was to house people who came to fish and hunt!

This mini museum is a great place to take your family to get a real view of Mammoths past.

Bring a lunch with you and enjoy the picnic tables that are right next to Mammoth Creek that flows through the property.

The creek here is also stocked well so bring a fishing pole and some power eggs!

Directions: The Hayden Cabin Museum is located off of Old Mammoth Road. The cabin sits on the west side of Mammoth Creek.

To get to the museum take Old Mammoth Road past The Stove and Old Mammoth Park. Turn left at Sherwin Creek road. Look for the Hayden Cabin sign on the left about 50 yards after your turn onto Sherwin Creek Rd.
