2007 East Walker Wild Trout Open
Rules
Sunday October 7, 2007
Start time 7:00am
- Anglers will fish the “Miracle Mile” section from the dam east to the first
bridge. All entrants must sign waiver to be eligible prior to start time.
Cut off 2:30pm sharp, unless fighting a fish.
- Rules will follow CDFG East Walker Wild Trout Regulations.
Tournament rules
- No spinning rods, casting bubbles, lures or treble hooks allowed.
- Fly fishing with barb-less hooks only.
- Anglers will use whistles provided to alert judges for measuring qualifying
trout.
- Minimum 15 inch length to qualify, scoring done in ¼ inch increments.
- Anglers Handle and measure their own fish with measuring boards provided by
judges.
- Foul-hooked fish do not qualify.
- Fish must be released alive and swimming.
- Catch and Release style nets only.
- Anglers will use common courtesy when approaching other anglers so fish are
not spooked.
- Anglers will vacate a hole 15 minutes after another angler approaches to wait
his turn at the same hole.
- Any dispute over time limits will be settled by the nearest judge.
* Tournament officials reserve the right to disqualify any angler for reasons
they deem valid, including unsportsmanlike conduct, attempts to violate the
spirit of the rules and competition, and DFG violations.
Major disputes will be forwarded to the Tournament Director for final decision.
*Anglers must be present at awards ceremony to win.
*Awards dinner will be held at the Memorial Hall on School Street, behind the
Historic Court House. Hall opens at 4:30pm, dinner at 5:00pm.
*Major Awards are: Total Points and Big Fish with 1PstP and 2PndP prizes awarded
in each category. Ties will be settled by a card draw.
